I LOVE the Emmy’s. I love celebrating enterainers and hearing their emotional reactions to getting the biggest award they can achieve! The whole thing makes me giddy. But what i love even more are the fashions and sharing my thoughts on them with YOU! So, let’s dive right in.
Heidi Klum in Versace.
I did not really like this dress. Obviously, she looks stunning no matter what she wears, but the whole piece of sparkly cloth choking her thing was not neccessary. I honestly wish it was just strapless. I would have loved it more.
Kate Mara in J. Mendel
This looks like a dolled up version of a Miley Cyrus costume. I am not loving this dress. Plus she is VERY white (as am I), so the color did nothing for her.
Zosia Marnet in Honor.
This looks like she has one of those Mustache Stickers you put on your finger blown up across her chest. I am not loving this at all. She is so young and i just feel like the fabric really was too heavy for her!
Lena Dunham in Parada
I do not get this trend. Let’s throw some curtains on our bod’s and call it fashion. I like the cut of the dress, i thought it was super flattering on her, but i hate the print. I actually think this print fits her personality, but i just did not enjoy it.
Merritt Wever in ??
Sorry Merritt, this is not your best look, but good thing you gave that super awesome speech so no one is talking about your dress today! Way to dodge the bullet on that one! (If you missed it, you can watch her speech here or below!)
Betsy Brandt in Alice + Olivia.
This was not my favorite pick of the night, but i do feel like the cut of the dress was great on her! So classy. I think i am just not feeling the color choice. It did look incredible under the lights when Breaking Bad accepted their award!
Jessica Pare’ in Oscar de la Renta.
This is like Senior Prom gone wrong. The shoes were so harsh. The top of the dress just looks like it was crumpled in her suitcase and she threw it on in a rush. I do love the minimal high-low window that allows you to see her shoes, but i think i would love this if the top was a more clean line and the color was different! An emerald green would have been really gorgeous on her!
Allison Janney in Lorena Sarbu.
I love the color choice, the cute, the train. She did EVERYTHING right. I love, love, love it! I just cant help but think about that scene in 10 Things I Hate About You with the cat mug every time i see her!
Zooey Deschanel in J. Mendel
How cute is she? I love the dress. Not crazy about the color choice, but she and her sister presented together and coordinated perfectly. I loved the super flattering and modest dress.
Connie Britton in Naeem Khan.
I thought she looked really gorgeous. The fabric seemed a little heavy, but it IS fall after all. I loved this gold/teal color combo on her. Beautiful.
Mindy Kaling in Georges Chakra
I love Mindy and i thought she looked really cute and the color was great!
Julie Bowen in Halston Heritage
I am on the fence with this one. I love the color on her. I think she is just a really beautiful lady. Something tells me I love it, but then something tells me i am not really sure. We will just go with love!
Morena Baccarin in Alexander McQueen.
I LOVED this dress on. How gorgeous and glowing is she? She is rocking that pregnancy! I love the fact that she chose such a bold color versus a black. It really is so beautiful on her and looks so happy!
Julia Louis-Dreyfus in
Anna Gunn in Romona Keveza.
This was probably another one of my top picks! I loved this dress. The feminine lace in sassy black mixed with the soft pink really did it for me! How beautiful is she?
Claire Danes in Armani Prive’
This was my BEST DRESSED of the night. Last year, if you recall, she was pregnant and wore that bright yellow, strapless number. This year, she really brought it! This dress was so delicate and feminine, and i LOVED the sequin embellishments. Perfect for her big WIN! I LOVE Homeland by the way and am so sad that i do not have cable right now to be able to watch it!!!
Jane Lynch in
Aaron Paul & Bryan Cranston in Burberry
How cute are these two? So sad that Breaking Bad is over. I have not watched it yet, but plan on viewing it this evening!
There really were SO many great dresses on the carpet last night, it was hard to pick my favorites! I hope you enjoyed my Fashion Wrap-Up for this years Emmy Awards!
